The Synthetic Total Contact Saddle is a fully flexible treeless saddle which offers unparallelled freedom for your horse and unbeatable comfort for you – the closest thing to riding bareback, but with stirrups. Placing the horse and rider in total contact with each other, it creates a unified riding experience and bond. Saddle Care

Your synthetic saddle couldn't be easier to look after. Just wipe down with a sponge or a soft cloth dampened with warm water to lift dust and debris. Then use a synthetic-safe tack cleaner, such as Lincoln's Synthetic Tack Cleaner. Apply with a tack sponge or a damp cloth and rinse thoroughly.

Ensure that your saddle is stored in a damp-free place and not put away in anything other than a dry condition.

I have delayed writing a review as I purchased 2 TCS then put them in the spare room whilst my daughter's rode their Fell ponies bareback. Over the last couple of weeks we have been using the saddles once or twice a week. I spent ages starting at photos to make sure I was positioning the saddle right and I think, now I understand which part of a conventional saddle it imitates, the positioning is spot on. With a polypad and a Shires Arms fleece half pad the ponies don't seems to realise they have a saddle on. The saddle in turn gives my daughters confidence as they have stirrups but both comment that they can still feel their ponies moving. Both girls have a lovely saddle position and both ponies are moving beautifully. My back lady also praised the TCS for the shoulder clearance they give my sticky little ponies. I would heartily recommend for anyone who's pony is their best friend.

I've just received my new TCS but it's already better than anything I've ever tried on my pony. It's not constantly moving, she's happy to go forward, nothing's pinching her shoulders and during a hack I could get back to the saddle from the ground without the whole thing slipping to the side. After reading up a lot about this saddle and following the conversations in the Facebook group, I had to try it for myself and my hard to fit Irish Cob.
I am so happy that I did. Getting on the first time, it immediately felt right. Different, but right. My mare and I move more in unison, and I don’t feel like I’m perched on top of her anymore. She’s definitely happier with the TCS too, I can just tell with how she moves under it. I’m a happy convert.

What I love the most is that no matter how long the ride, or the weather conditions, or the terrain, the TCS doesn't move, it's never left any marks, he doesn't have any sore muscles when I do my post ride check of his back. Bonus is, having previously suffered from a sore lower back after rides, now I'm pain free!

I believe it's allowed my growing 5 year old Welsh D to move freely, with zero restrictions on his shoulder and therefore given him confidence in moving forward, perfect for his first year under saddle and accommodates his changing shape too.

I'm not the most accomplished rider and was concerned about how I would cope with the TCS but it's shocking how quickly I've come to prefer it! It's comfy, stable, secure, lightweight and easily transported. Can't sing it's praises enough.

After a 5 year break I have started riding again. I felt really unconfident when I tried my old saddle, I felt perched up on top and disconnected from her body. Someone at our yard let me try their TCS and my confidence has grown when I started riding in it. I stopped riding due to losing my confidence but I have zero issues of this kind riding in this saddle. As I ride a chunky cob, I mainly just ride in a numnah with TCS on top and it feels amazing. Overall pleased with my purchase. Delivery was super quick. Saddle is exactly as described. I am using it as a breaking in saddle for a round, short backed cob. My horse seems happy with it and it is surprisingly stable on her back, it doesn't shift from side to side at all, which I was concerned about. The only downside is that the stirrup bars are quite prominent so it's not the most comfortable thing from the rider's point of view, but otherwise very impressed with it and would recommend.
