The Classic Total Contact Saddle is a fully flexible treeless saddle which offers unparallelled freedom for your horse and unbeatable comfort for you – the closest thing to riding bareback, but with stirrups. Placing the horse and rider in total contact with each other, it creates a unified riding experience and bond. Unlike other treeless saddles which can feel bulky and wide or traditional saddles with rigid trees, the Classic Total Contact Saddle is light, minimalist in design, hugs your horse’s natural shape, allowing unrestricted movement of the shoulders and back muscles. Saddle Care

Wipe down your saddle with a damp cloth, then use Lincoln Glycerine Tub Soap or Lincoln Glycerine Spray Soap for a deeper clean. Use Lincoln’s Superior Leather Balsam to hydrate deeply and create a barrier against wear and tear. Apply with a sponge in light layers and allow it to soak in. Make sure to gently clean and condition the underside, too—especially after sweaty rides or wet conditions.

Billets and girth straps take constant tension. A touch of Superior Leather Balsam helps maintain pliability in these high-stress areas, preventing cracking before it starts.

Ensure that your saddle is stored in a damp-free place and not put away in anything other than a dry condition. Use a breathable cover, if any, and keep your saddle in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing in direct sunlight or over radiators—heat is leather’s worst enemy.

My mare and I love our new TCS! I was struggling to find a treed saddle that fit her short back and shoulder asymmetry, so I decided to give the TCS a shot. My plan was to use the TCS as an interim solution until I found a traditional saddle that fit. During our first ride in the TCS, I could immediately feel how much freer my mare was through her shoulders and back. I also love the feeling of engagement and connection the TCS gives me (or maybe I should say requires of me, lol) as a rider. what A difference! I had the saddle fitter out doing the best with the original saddle but could not get it to fit properly. My pony is short backed and quite round. He wasn’t comfortable in a saddle and showed me so I got the TCS . He’s now happy to be tacked up and moves much more freely. I actually feel like I am riding with him rather than perched on him. The customer service from TCS was also amazing. Would highly recommend it to everyone. Absolutely love it!

When I first got my konik polski from her previous owner, I was confident i will find a saddle that will fit her perfectly, without the use of a crupper (in which she was ridden before in ver ill fitting saddles, just to prevent it from flying over her head...) but it turned out to be a difficult task with treed saddles. I found TCS on facebook by accident, did some reading and decided to give it a try. Shipment to Poland was super quick and easy! It was nicely packed and smelled beautifully lol
After some trials with different padding I've decided to stick with a QHP bareback pad and its both comfortable and secure enough for me to ride AND Trufla is feeling very light with this setup. Her stride is long, I can feel lots of freedom in the shoulder, even on her stiffer right side.
I've grown to like this setup so well I'm starting my younger horse who is a draft mix (also tricky to fit) in it and I haven't had any issues with bucking or tensing up at any point :) Highly recommend!

Had the tcs since may and so far its been used on 2 ponies.
Pops - 13.2 welsh pony who doesnt have an issue with the saddle she has but thought why not give it a go. She went phenominaly!!! Really made it so her back was completly free feeling and open. The work she gave us was just beutiful nice relaxed and working her whole body.
Blue - 12.2ish mini cob with the shortest back possible and a little round. My little 5 year old whoes only been sat on/ started properly backing july. In only a week we have achived coming of the lunge, riding independantly and hacking. Ive found the saddle so comfy so far and easy to use. I knew id struggle finding a saddle to fit him and me (im 4'11 at 23) but i have to say i am so impressed with the feeling this saddle gives you amd the quality. 🥰🥰 xxx

Sadly,although this should be a good solution for my horse, it really doesn'tsuit him and he was unhappy with it in spite of different padding options.

This is the best saddle you have when you don't have a saddle. Im riding just about everyday my balance is so much better wish ld found tcs years ago. Will never ride in anything eles now .Ruby moves so much better ,now everyone is happy.

Only used twice due to hot weather I have a bony old gelding and he’s so more relaxed. The seat is sooooooo comfy. My wide 14h cob seems happy in it too. Was a problem finding a saddle to fit him. Shame you no longer do the polypad saddle cloth I've been using my friends it’s really nice. Will be ordering stirrups for Christmas so discount will come in handy.

After months of napping, vet investigations, teeth checks and 2 different saddle fitters to check saddle I decided to try a TCS. Day 2 I took her out on a hack, she left the yard in front of her stable mate and didn’t nap once - first time in almost 12 months. Replicated the next day. I feel secure and comfortable and am so relieved to have found something that works. Her movement feels free and easy.

Absolutely love it! My old boy is so free in his movement with this - super happy pony - hes a cob so wide and covered so didnt need much padding and it wasnt too different from riding in his wintec, but as he is getting sway backed with age, suited him better! Much more relaxed pony!

Loving my TCS! So comfy 🥰

Arrived very quickly

I have delayed writing a review as I purchased 2 TCS then put them in the spare room whilst my daughter's rode their Fell ponies bareback. Over the last couple of weeks we have been using the saddles once or twice a week. I spent ages starting at photos to make sure I was positioning the saddle right and I think, now I understand which part of a conventional saddle it imitates, the positioning is spot on. With a polypad and a Shires Arms fleece half pad the ponies don't seems to realise they have a saddle on. The saddle in turn gives my daughters confidence as they have stirrups but both comment that they can still feel their ponies moving. Both girls have a lovely saddle position and both ponies are moving beautifully. My back lady also praised the TCS for the shoulder clearance they give my sticky little ponies. I would heartily recommend for anyone who's pony is their best friend.
