Trialling the TCS

Terms & Conditions

Finding the right saddle is so difficult – that’s why we have decided to offer a hire period for our Total Contact Saddle.

HOW TO TRIAL THE TOTAL CONTACT SADDLE:

Decide on the billet length of the saddle you would like to trial.

To trial the saddle, simply add the Trial to your basket and check out. Please also ensure you have read these Trial Terms and Conditions in full before proceeding to Checkout.

You then proceed to Checkout to pay for the Trial. The trial saddle will be sent to you and you will have 14 days to trial it. We will contact you during your trial to arrange the return of the saddle and to answer any questions you may have. When we receive the saddle in return, we will issue you a refund. This refund will be for the trial fee deposit NOT INCLUDING the admin charge. If you wish to purchase a new saddle at the end of you trial, you will be issued a store credit for the full trial fee to go toward the purchase of your new saddle.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO TRIAL THE TOTAL CONTACT SADDLE?

The cost of trialling the TCS is £200 for 14 days (starting on the day it arrives with you).

If 14 days has elapsed and you have not reponding to our emails then the trial arrangement will cease and Total Contact Saddles will retain the full trial fee of £200.

WHICH SADDLES ARE AVAILABLE TO HIRE?

The trial saddles will usually be our Classic Total Contact, of both colours, and of both billet lengths.

HOW DOES TRIALLING THE TOTAL CONTACT SADDLE WORK IN PRACTICE?

When trialling the TCS, you initially pay a £200 deposit (trial fee). We will send you a trial TCS; in most cases this will be a used saddle.  You are then able to use the saddle for up to 14 days (starting on the day the saddle is delivered to you and ending on the day you post it back to us). At any time during this trial period, you can decide to:

Return the trial saddle and buy a new saddle. This will be at your cost, and we recommend a recorded method of delivery for your security. Once the saddle has been received by us, we will put the £200 trial fee towards the new saddle of your choice. You will be issued with an invoice for the remaining value of your chosen saddle.

Return the trial saddle for a refund. This will be at your cost, and we recommend a recorded method of delivery for your security. Once the saddle has been received by us, you will be refunded the £200 trial fee of the saddle NOT INCLUDING the trial fee of £27.50.

Please note:

1. The saddle must be returned in a reasonable condition. Fair wear and tear is obviously acceptable, but a broken, damaged or excessively worn saddle will have either the cost to repair it deducted from the refund or not be refunded at all if the repair cost is greater than the value of the saddle.

2. Please also ensure that the saddle is cleaned before it is packed up and returned to us. Any saddle that is returned dirty will incur a £5 cleaning fee in addition to the admin fee.

TRIAL SADDLE FAQs

Will the saddle I trial be new or used?

In order for our trial service to be viable, we are unable to send out a new saddle if we have a used saddle available.

Do I have to pay the hire charge even if I don’t use them?

Generally, the answer is yes. In order for our trial option to be viable, we need to charge the trial fee in all cases.

When does the trial period start and how long is it for?

The hire period is for 14 days and starts on the day the saddle is delivered. We recommend you return the saddle to us using an insured and traceable method as the saddle remains your responsibility until we sign that we have it back into our possession.

What happens if I lose or damage the saddle whilst in my possession?

Whilst the saddle is in your possession, you are responsible for its care, and with the exception of fair wear and tear, the cost of rectifying any damage will be deducted from the refund before it is processed. We will email you to advise you of any additional charges.

Is it possible to hire accessories to use with my trial saddle?

Unfortunately, we are unable to hire out accessories to use with the saddle. You will need to use your stirrups, girth and pads with your trial saddle.

Booking a TCS trial constitutes an acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
